November 1, 2021, Tel Aviv - 15 Israeli journalists specializing in the wine industry attended a tasting of Purcari Wines in Tel Aviv. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel and the importer Purcari Israel as part of an agenda to promote economic diplomacy priorities. Following the tastings, the wide Israeli public will have the opportunity to discover the potential of the country's brand - "Moldovan wine - a living legend" - through the print media Maariv, Yedioth Ahronoth, Walla, Globes and Ynet.

At the start of the event, Alex Roitman, the charge Chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Republic of Moldova to the State of Israel, said: "I am honoured to see such a significant number of people at the tasting of the Moldovan wine. This initiative aims at promoting the image of the Republic of Moldova through a competitive product on the international market, "Moldovan Wine", which contributes to strengthening the wine industry in our country on the Israeli market, and this event also helps in the promotion of the Republic of Moldova and its people".

Speaking about the role of economic diplomacy and the promotion of Moldovan products on the Israeli market, the Moldovan diplomat underlined: "Moldovan wines are firmly gaining their place on the Israeli market and this fact makes me happy. Today's event is just one of the initiatives organized by the diplomatic mission to present Moldova to Israel from a new perspective".

The presentation of Moldovan wines was made by a representative of Purcari Israel, Vladimir Lvovsky, who underlined: "It all started with an idea and a dream to bring our beloved Purcari wines to Israel. Now we are taking a new step in promoting the Moldovan brand, and we hope that this brave beginning will soon develop in the right direction".

The participants of the event were also welcomed by Ran Shmueli, an Israeli world renown chef, who also praised the quality of Moldovan wines. The sommelier of Purcari Winery conducted the tasting.
